Ugly Emails Are Crushing It

Over the last few years, I’ve sent millions of emails.

I’ve seen some wonderful designs, amazing product shots and creative infographics.

But some of the best performing emails were usually plain-text.

I know it’s probably not you want to hear because plain-text emails are considered “ugly” for some reason.

I personally wouldn’t say they’re ugly - they’re native to the platform.

Aside from that, they peform incredibly well because:

  • They break the pattern.

  • They feel more personal.

  • They have better deliverability.
